Mayo native carves out career as London stylist

DEIRDRE MORAN is an up-and- coming young stylist from Claremorris, Co Mayo.

She has been living in London for three years, working in PR for sustainable fashion company People Tree and later Beyond Retro, a vintage company. She is a graduate of DCU, where she set up its Style Society with Laura Whitmore. Moran worked for a time in the Design Room at Brown Thomas and later for this newspaper in sales. That enabled her to pay for a master’s degree in fashion marketing at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Moran now intends to build her name as a stylist, having worked for the Sunday Times, Fiasco magazine, other online and independent publications, and with acclaimed photographer Rankin.
