The ISEQ index of shares rose today in line with other European bourses on the back of a rally by tech stocks.
At the close of trading the ISEQ was 5,822.38, up 35.14. The main financials had mixed fortunes. AIB closed the day 17 cents up at euro 11.92 while Anglo-Irish Bank was 9 cents down at 3.62. Irish Life & Permanent was up 5 cents at euro 13.00 while Bank of Ireland was up 3 cents at euro 10.23.
After falling badly this morning Iona Tech closed the day 77 cents up at euro 48.50. Eircom ended the day 8 cents up at euro 2.40.
Irish Continental was down 20 cents at 7.30 while Jury's was down 30 at euro 10.40. Greencore was 1 cent down at 2.97.
