Johannesburg - President Nelson Mandela left South Africa for Russia yesterday to begin his last round of state visits before he leaves office in June.
He is expected to arrive in Moscow early today for the first leg of an 11-day tour that will also take him to Hungary, Pakistan and China.
Shortly before his departure he told a Freedom Day rally that South Africa should for its own good continue building relations with the rest of the world.
