South Africa - Mr Nelson Mandela last night dismissed allegations that he had had a long-standing relationship with MI6 as slanderous and a "disgraceful fabrication". The allegations are in The Big Breach, a book by a MI6 renegade officer, Mr Richard Tomlinson.
