Man 'stable' after being shot in Dublin home

A man (28) is said to be stable today after being shot in his home in Coolock, last night.

A man (28) is said to be stable today after being shot in his home in Coolock, last night.

He was confronted by a lone gunman, wearing a motorcycle helmet, at his front door at around 10.10pm.

The gunman forced his way into the house and fired a number of shots. The victim suffered two wounds to his stomach and thigh and was taken to Beaumont Hospital.

No one has been arrested, and gardaí say it is too early to say if the shooting is gangland related.
