Man remanded over Dundalk murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Dundalk teenager Niall Dorr.

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Dundalk teenager Niall Dorr.

Niall Dorr (18) was attacked and beaten as he walked home with two friends on October 13th last. He died in hospital the following day from head injuries.

Douglas Ward (35), Knockbridge, Co Louth, appeared before Drogheda District Court yesterday charged with the murder of Mr Dorr at Castle Road, Dundalk.

Judge Flann Brennan remanded Mr Ward in custody.
