A man was killed today whena car and a tourist train collided on a private railway line inKent, southeastern England, police said.

The collision occurred shortly after 10.30am at a levelcrossing on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway,Kent police said.

The tourist railway calls itself the "world's smallestpublic railway" on its official Web site.

"One man has been killed in this incident," a policespokeswoman said.

The occupants of the car, a woman and a baby, were treatedfor minor injuries, she added.

The engine and part of the train derailed in the collision.It was not immediately known how many people were on the train.
