A man was injured in a shooting attack on his house in Dublin last night by two men who escaped on a motorbike.

Gardai said the man was shot at St Attracta's Road, Cabra in north Dublin. His injuries are not life-threatening.

In a separate incident, two shots were fired at a house in John Carew Park in Limerick last night. The shots were directed at the front door of a house, which was unoccupied at the time. Gardai at Roxboro Road are investigating.
