A 46-year-old divorcee accused of running off with a 14-year-old girl has appeared in court charged with abduction and other offences.
David Milner, of Victoria Street, Gillingham, faced one charge of abduction and a total of eight other offences when he appeared before Medway Magistrates Court in Kent.
Milner spoke only to give his name, address and date of birth during the short hearing.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody until September 9 when there will be a video link hearing, the court heard.
