Gardaí in Limerick have arrested a man in connection with the investigation into the murder of a man in 2007.
Jeffrey Hannon (19) was found dead on an open green area in a housing estate at Galtee Drive near the Galvone Industrial Estate on November 22nd, 2007.
The father of one died from serious head injuries, which it is understood were inflicted with a heavy, sharp instrument.
Gardaí last night arrested a man in his late teens in the midlands area.
He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Roxboro Road Garda station.
This brings to nine the number of people to be arrested in connection with this murder.
