A man is being questioned by gardai in connection with an alleged attack in Longford last night.
A man was found with head injuries on the Dublin Road shortly before 9pm. He was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar where his condition is described as stable.
Gardai say his injuries are not life threatening.
