A man has been arrested after gardai discovered a gun, ammunition and a quantity of cocaine during a search on a house in north-west Dublin.
Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit arrested a 21-year-old in Dunsink, near Finglas, at about 6.30pm last night after the discovery of a 9mm handgun, six rounds of ammunition and approximately €3,000 worth of cocaine, a Garda statement said.
He is currently detained at Blanchardstowm Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. He can be held for up to 72 hours.
