Gardaí have arrested a man in Co Meath after finding €25,000 worth of heroin in a house.

Gardaí have arrested a man in Co Meath after finding €25,000 worth of heroin in a house.

In a planned operation, gardaí from Navan raided the house at Keenogue in the village of Duleek this morning. A shotgun and cartridges, a quantity of cash and a radio scanner were also seized.

The 25-year-old occupant of the house is being questioned at Navan Garda station about the find.

The operation follows the seizure of 1,000 ecstasy tablets in a house in the Glasnevin area of Dublin at 10.25 last night.

The drugs worth €15,000 were found in a house on Pinewood Drive where two men were arrested. They were taken to Blanchardstown Garda station where they are being questioned under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice and Drug Trafficking Act.

The house was raided after confidential information was received, according to a Garda spokeswoman.
