A man in his 20s has died following a road traffic incident in Co Mayo this evening.
Gardaí at Swinford are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash which happened at Carrowcastle, Bahola, Co Mayo at about 5pm.
The man died after he was was seriously injured in the crash. Gardaí said the van he was travelling in collided with a second van on the R321 at Carrowcastle, Bahola.
The man was taken by ambulance to Mayo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A second man, also aged in his 20s, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The road is closed pending a full technical examination by forensic collision investigators and diversions are in place.
