A 39-year-old man has died in hospital following a road collision yesterday in Co Antrim.

A 39-year-old man has died in hospital following a road collision yesterday in Co Antrim.

The dead man has been named as Seamus Boyce from Letterkenny, Co Donegal.

Mr Boyce was fatally injured when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a 4x4 vehicle on the Whitepark Road, Ballycastle, about one mile from Ballintoy shortly after 3.20pm yesterday.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast suffering serious injuries, where he later died.

The male driver and two female passengers in the 4x4 did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
