A man and his daughter were taken hostage while his wife was forced to retrieve cash from her place of work this morning.

Three masked men entered the house at St Agnes, Andersonstown, at about 7am.

The gang ordered the woman to go to her workplace on the Boucher Road industrial estate and take the money while they held her husband and teenage daughter in the house.

The woman was then told to bring the money to a drop-off point at Colin Glen Forest, near Pembrook Loop in Poleglass, west Belfast. It is not yet known how much money was taken in the raid.
