A man has been arrested by gardaí investigating the alleged misappropriation of funds from a post office in Co Wexford.
An Post discovered the money was missing after it carried out an audit at the post office in Gorey earlier this year. The company then alerted gardaí in Wexford.
Gardaí arrested a 37 year-old man in Gorey this morning.
The man is currently detained at Gorey Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
