A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court in connection with a suspected drugs-related killing at a party near Clonmel last weekend.

The man, who has an address in Clonmel,  was charged with the murder of Eoin Cahill (25) at Kilganey at around 11.50pm on Sunday.

He appeared in Carrick-on-Suir District Court this morning, where he was remanded in custody for a week.

Five men and a woman were arrested for questioning about the murder.

The others were released without charge. However, a file is to be sent to the DPP.
