A 21-year-old man has been arrested following the seizure of ecstasy which a Garda-estimated street value of €40,000.
Some 40,000 tablets were seized in a planned raid in Kilcullen, Co Kildare, by officers of the Newbridge Drugs Unit.
The man was arrested in a follow-up operation in Castledermot, Co Kildare. "He is detained at Newbridge Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice Act," a Garda spokesman said.
