A 17-year-old man has been awarded bail after appearing before a court in Derry city this morning in connection with the death of a 16-month-old baby yesterday.
Stephen Thomas White, from Delwood, Eglinton, was arrested early this morning and appeared at Derry magistrates court on charges of causing death by dangerous driving of Aisling Marie NicSuibhria and grievous bodily injury to a woman who was with the baby and her mother.
Aisling was fatally injured on the Ardmore Road at around 6pm yesterday when the pram she was in was struck by a car. She died later in hospital.
