A lorry-driver appeared in Dublin District Court on Saturday charged with dangerous driving on Friday, September 11th, near Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, when there was a collision between a lorry and a bus carrying schoolchildren.

Mr Robert Dowdall, Clon tigora, Newry, Co Down, was remanded in custody with consent to £3,000 independent bail to Kilcock Court tomorrow.

All but one of the schoolchildren who were taken to the Mater Hospital, Dublin, following the collision have been discharged. The remaining patient was expected to be discharged later.
