More arrests are expected in the ongoing investigation into livestock smuggling from Northern Ireland. Early yesterday three men were arrested by gardai in Templemore, Co Tipperary.

The men, a father and son and another man, are expected to be charged with calf smuggling offences.

It was also confirmed yesterday that a number of people from the Cooley peninsula will soon face charges relating to fraud uncovered after the cull of sheep in the area.
