Gardaí investigating the murder of Limerick nightclub doorman Brian Fitzgerald have arrested 10 people at various locations in the city this morning.
The six men and four women are being held at Garda stations in Limerick city and county under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act.
Mr Fitzgerald was shot dead outside his home in Corbally in 2002. It is believed he was killed because he refused to let a gang deal drugs in the nightclub where he worked.

His second cousin, Mr Martin O'Donoghue, was subsequently stabbed to death outside a pub in the city in August 2004.

Gardaí have described the investigation into Mr Fitzgerald’s murder as one of the most protracted ever conducted in Limerick.
