Meath County Council has granted a licence for the two-day Witnness music festival which will be held at Fairyhouse racecourse, Co Meath, over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The licence is subject to 11 conditions, including a limit of 40,000 attending each day.

The concerts on August 4th must take place between noon and midnight, while the concerts on August 5th must end at 11 p.m.

Almost 80 acts are set to play on five stages at the festival and the organisers claim its worth £5 million to the Irish economy.
