Boxing:Former undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis is considering a sensational return to the ring at the age of 41, according to reports.

Lewis has been regularly linked with a comeback since retiring as champion in 2003 following victory over Ukrainian rival Vitali Klitschko.

Speculation intensified when Klitschko — who went on to inherit Lewis' crown as world champion — announced his return to the ring recently after overcoming the knee injury which prompted his own retirement.

Reports claim that Lewis is back in training and in discussions with Vitali Klitschko about a possible rematch.

American promoter Bob Arum is quoted in today's Daily Mail as saying: "Lennox has been discussing the prospect of a one-off, world title rematch with Vitali Klitschko.

"I am told Lennox is back in the gym. This is an enormous fight in the making."

Klitschko was given 'Emeritus Champion' status by the WBC upon his retirement and talks are ongoing over whether the Germany-based heavyweight will be given an immediate title shot against Oleg Maskaev.
