Diyarbakir - Turkish troops killed five Kurdish rebels in clashes near the Turkish-Iraqi border, part of Turkey's continuing operation against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), government sources said yesterday.

The clashes took place on Wednesday near Guneycam in the south-eastern province of Sirnak, according to Turkish forces.
