Khartoum - Sudan yesterday decreed a 70-day ceasefire in the south so that relief supplies can get to victims of a civil war that has been raging there for 16 years. In a statement, the foreign ministry said the ceasefire would go into effect "in all combat zones" from midnight (2100 GMT) yesterday.
