Two Kerry men admitted their roles yesterday in a rape attack on a young woman three years ago. The 19-year-old men, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were remanded on bail to appear for sentence in the Central Criminal Court on October 16th next.

Mr Justice Carney requested the preparation of probation reports on them and a victim impact report on the young woman, who is also 19. One of the men pleaded guilty to raping her in Kerry on May 19th, 1995.

The second man pleaded guilty to a charge of aiding and abetting, consulting or procuring the first-named defendant to rape the victim.
