Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz said today that Roy Keane is making excellent progress following his hip operation.

"We believe he will be back soon because the recovery process has been fantastic," Queiroz said.

"The way Roy Keane walks into the training ground you would hardly believe he is injured."

Reports in the British media today claim Keane, who underwent surgery three weeks ago, is likely to return for United's league game at Fulham on October 19th.
