Srinagar - Fifteen Hindus killed by suspected Muslim militants in Kashmir were cremated amid tight security yesterday as India said massacres of civilians in the name of freedom were unacceptable.
Relatives of the 15 withdrew a demand for the presence of the Home Minister, Mr Lal Krishna Advani, at the funeral and carried out the cremation as soldiers ringed the site in the curfewbound town of Kishtiwar, witnesses said.
