Sweden's Robert Karlsson kept a bogey off his card for the second round running, but had his overnight four-stroke lead cut to two at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland today.

A three under par 68 takes Karlsson into tomorrow's final round on 14 under par.

Italian Emanuele Canonica is 12 under after a 65 while Barry Lane shot a best-of-the-week 64 to move into a share of third place on 11 under with Paul Lawrie and Trevor Immelman.

Nick Faldo is eight back after a 69 that fizzled out despite sinking a 20-foot eagle putt on the first.

Karlsson, who had his advantage trimmed to one before he pitched to 10 feet at the 388-yard 17th, said: "I made a few good up and downs, but missed a few good birdie chances as well, so I'm happy with that.

"On a normal day I would have probably had six birdies and three bogeys for the same score.

"I didn't get caught up in what everybody else was doing. You can have big problems if you do that in the third round."
