Arsenal etched their name into football's record books with an emphatic victory over Leeds United at Elland Road today.
Arsene Wenger's side were majestic in victory as goals from Kolo Toure, Thierry Henry and a brace from Kanu gave them a landmark 23rd away league victory, while also equalling the 29-game unbeaten Premiership run of Manchester United.
It took just nine minutes for Arsenal to cement the first of their records as they scored for the 47th consecutive match, beating the mark set by Chesterfield back in the 1929-30 season.
Ashley Cole dispossessed Gary Kelly on the wing and fed Toure who, in turn, slipped a sideways pass for Kanu to sidefoot past Paul Robinson from eight yards.
Leeds were second to the ball, second in the tackle and generally second best all over the park as Arsenal carved them apart at will, doing so again in the 17th minute as Sylvain Wiltord fed Thierry Henry who had stolen behind skipper Dominic Matteo.
The Frenchman forced Robinson into a full-stretch fingertip save but his relief was short-lived as Toure turned goalscorer when rising to meet an Henry corner in the 20th minute.
Arsenal went further ahead just 79 seconds into the second half.
Again the move was sweeping and incisive as Wiltord and Kanu combined to set up Henry who slipped a cool finish beneath the Leeds keeper for his eighth of the season.
Leeds grabbed a consolation goal in the 85th minute, but only after Seaman had produced a superb double save from Bowyer. Kewell drove the rebound home.
But the three-goal cushion was soon restored as a stunning defence-splitting pass from 79th minute substitute Jermaine Pennant picked out Kanu for a first-time right-foot shot beyond Robinson.
