Jurors in the trial of a man accused of murdering his uncle at a Connemara cottage in 1997 have been sent away until Monday morning while legal issues are discussed in their absence.

In the Central Criminal Court, legal argument before Mr Justice Cyril Kelly has continued in the trial since Thursday morning. Mr Patrick Joseph McGreene (29), with addresses at Corrib Park and St Mary's Road, Galway, has denied the murder of his uncle, Mr Tom Clisham (53), on a date unknown between November 24th, 1997, and December 4th, 1997, both dates inclusive, at Inveran, Co Galway.
