Tremayne Durham would admit the crime only if he could have a break from jail food. The judge agreed and he got KFC chicken, potatoes, coleslaw, ice cream and cake. And after he was sentenced yesterday he got the rest of the deal: lasagne, pizza and ice cream.

Durham (33) admitted shooting dead Adam Calbreath in Oregon last month in a dispute over an ice-cream van he was buying.

Deputy district attorney Josh Lamborn said allowing the unusual plea agreement was right because it saved the expense of a trial.
