Up to 30 jobs may be lost at the Shannon base of US multinational Tellabs.
The company said in a statement today that it was committed to the Shannon factory but some redundancies may be unavoidable.
Tellabs announced in August that it would be shedding 149 staff when it closes its factory in Drogheda, Co Louth next year.
The firm is planning to axe 1,000 globally by next February.
