Tokyo - North Korea has denied involvement with two suspected spy ships which entered Japanese waters, a Tokyo official said yesterday as Japan's Prime Minister vowed to pursue diplomatic talks with the Stalinist state.

In the incident, two ships disguised as Japanese fishing boats crossed into Japan's territorial waters and were chased out on Wednesday under a hail of warning aerial bombs and cannon fire from warships.
