Jaguar, Ford's luxury car business, has announced the resignation of managing director Mr Jonathan Browning.

Today’s news comes a day after the world's second largest automaker Ford ousted its president and chief executive Mr Jacques Nasser and replaced him with Mr Bill Ford, the great-grandson of founder Henry Ford.

In a statement, Jaguar gave no reason for Mr Browning's departure. Mr Mike Beasley, the executive director responsible for engineering and manufacturing, will take over.
