Eilat - Israel's chief negotiator with the Palestinians said yesterday he expected a Palestinian state to emerge from talks on a final peace settlement.
"The Palestinian state will be the outcome of negotiations," chief negotiator Mr Oded Eran said during a second day of peace talks at the Red Sea resort of Eilat. Palestinian negotiator Mr Saeb Erekat said the focus of the meetings yesterday was Israel's third and final West Bank land handover, due next month under interim accords.
