A joint four-day visit to Ireland by Israeli and Palestinian politicians, due to start today, has been postponed.
Some 14 parliamentarians from both sides, including Israel's Internal Security Minister, Dr Uzi Landau, had been invited to study the peace process, and meet political leaders in both parts of the island.
The visit was taking place under the auspices of the Wicklow-based Glencree Centre for Reconciliation, with funding from Development Co-operation Ireland, the aid division of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
However, the organisers said there were "complications with availabilities and travel arrangements", and it is understood some of the Palestinian participants had difficulty getting past the Israeli security authorities.
Discussions are taking place to rescheduling the visit.
The diplomatic missions of Israel and the Palestinian Authority in Dublin were involved in preparations for the visit.
