A survey from Mercer Investment consulting claims that the average Irish pension managed fund was up 0.9 per cent during the first quarter.

The data puts AIB Investment Managers at the head of the list of top performers, with a return of 2.3 per cent.

Equity markets experienced a sharp decline in February but rebounded to finish the quarter up 1.6 per cent, while bonds finished down 0.1 per cent for the quarter.
