‘Sudden death’ of woman investigated in Roscommon

Gardaí in Roscommon are investigating the sudden death of a woman in her 20s.

The woman was found in a caravan in Dromod, Co Roscommon at about 6am on Tuesday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body was taken to University Hospital Galway, where a postmortem will be carried out.

A Garda spokesman said the results of the postmortem will determine the course of the investigation. The case is currently being treated as a “sudden death”.

The woman’s death was not being treated as suspicious at this stage, he added.
