Singing barman in Cork proves a big hit online

A bar man who works at the Crossroads pub in Knockavilla, Co Cork has proved a hit online after he was filmed singing an old Irish song while serving punters.

John Horgan was filmed singing Jimmy McCarthy’s ‘Bright Blue Rose” which was popularised by Christy Moore and Mary Black.

The video was posted on Facebook with the caption : “The craic is only mighty in the cross tonight.”

It was shared by local Tony Sheehan who captured John’s acapella performance on his phone.

It was posted last Thursday and now has more than 20,000 views.
