Witness appeal after man in his 60s fatally injured at McClays Corner near Stranolar

A man has died after being hit by a car in Co Donegal.

The incident occurred at McClays Corner on the Letterkenny side of Stranolar at about 2.50am on Sunday.

The pedestrian, who was in his late 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body remains there, gardaí said.

The road is closed to allow for a forensic collision investigation of the scene and local diversions are in place. Anyone travelling in the Ballybofey or Stranolar areas is advised to allow plenty of time for their journey.
