Man pronounced dead at scene after bike collides with a wall near Bruff

A man has died following a crash near Bruff in Co Limerick yesterday evening.

The motorcyclist, who was in his 40s, collided with a wall at Kilballyowen on the Bruff to Knockainey Road at about 5.10pm.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were removed to the Mid Western Hospital in Limerick.

The road was closed last night for a Garda forensic examination of the scene.
