A 19-year-old man has died in hospital after the motorcycle he was riding hit a lamp post in Ballymun, Dublin.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at Sillogue Road, shortly after 3.30pm following reports of a crash.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The Garda said in a statement that the scene is being examined by forensic collison investigators . The road has been closed and local diversions are in place.

The dead man’s body has been removed to the Dublin City Morgue and the coroner has been notified.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with camera footage of the incident to contact them.
