The inquest into the death of a man who was shot dead in Artane two years ago having survived a previous attack six weeks earlier was further adjourned at Dublin Coroner’s Court.

John Clark (21), of Brookwood Grove, Artane, Dublin was killed when a gunman opened fire as he and two friends drove into his apartment block on May 8th, 2009.

The other two men in the car with Mr Clark at the time were also hit in the attack but were not seriously injured.

The deceased had been warned by gardaí that his life was in danger on a number of occasions. At Dublin Coroner’s Court, gardaí requested a further adjournment.
