Bord Failte hailed the extension of the Designated Seaside Resort Scheme and said the fiscal incentives supporting the Budget, combined with corporation and income tax changes would combine to assist tourism related enterprises. It said most tourism businesses were smaller operations and this would help them to become more competitive. "The measures will also stimulate further job creation in the industry," it said.
