PARIS - France yesterday sought help from the European Union to rein in the European Parliament after condemning the legislature for urging Paris to withdraw a controversial immigration bill. The Foreign Minister, Mr Herve de Charette, extending a bitter clash with the Strasbourg based assembly, said he would ask foreign ministers "to reflect on the European Parliament's exceeding its responsibilities".
