Non-consultant hospital doctors are calling on other health professionals to join their march through Dublin today in a protest over pay and working conditions. The protest begins in O'Connell Street at 2.30 p.m., followed by a march to Leinster House. a spokeswoman for the Irish Medical Organisation said yesterday: "The latest planned protest is symptomatic of the frustration currently felt by NCHDs." The IMO assured the NCHDs that if no progress was made in the current talks there would be a ballot for industrial action by December.
