An SDLP councillor has claimed an attack on homes in a Dungannon housing estate was purely sectarian and linked to the Parades Commission ban on next Sunday's Orange parade at Garvaghy Road. Mr Vincent Currie said all 13 homes targeted in the attack at Gortnasaor on Monday night were Catholic-owned. "I don't know what they hope to achieve by actions like this, but the police have assured me that they will have resources at their disposal to prevent a similar incident happening again," he said. Around 20 masked youths threw stones and bricks, breaking windows in 13 houses. A number of cars were damaged.
